Refraction Test
It is a usual test that is included in the routine eye examination. It is also known as the Vision Test, that allows the doctor to accurately prescribe what prescription you need in your lenses, contact lenses, or glasses. The doctor precisely measures how light changes its direction when it enters the person's eye. Our team of highly experienced doctors takes utmost care and caution, to achieve highly accurate results.
The Technique
We have a group of highly trained and experienced doctors that calculate the vision correction a patient needs (refraction) by using sensors. These sensors help them detect the reflections from a cone of infrared light, which is used in determining the size and the shape of the retina. By measuring this zone, the autorefractors can easily determine when a patient’s eye focuses properly on the image.

Our Story
Vijaya Optical House, also known as VOH, is one of the oldest optical stores specializing in spectacle making in Tamil Nadu, with an imposing market standing dating back to 1959. VOH had a humble beginning as a small scale importer, manufacturer, and wholesaler of spectacle lenses. It all began with a 600 sq.ft. showroom, founded in 1959 (June 5th) by the Late Shri. Jayaraman at Broadway. VOH is popularly known as the BROADWAY FIRST SHOP, as it was one of the first commercial optical stores that opened on Broadway. The first showroom counted many distinguished lawyers and judges of the Madras High Court as its valued customers due to its proximity to the Court premises. In 1986, Mr.J.Seshachalam, CEO, was instrumental in converting the business from manufacturing and wholesale to comprehensive eye care dispensing retail business.
